Healthier Living 

Living with and ongoing health condition such as diabetes, obesity, arthritis or anxiety doesn't mean you have to be ruled by it. This six week interactive workshop can help you: 

  • Learn coping strategies to deal with frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation
  • Communicate effectively with family, friends and health professionals
  • Maintain or increase life's activities
  • Accomplish habit changing behaviors

Target Outcomes

Short Term Outcomes

  • Participants are aware of strategies to cope with chronic physical and mental health problems
  • Participants are aware of how they communicate with other people
  • Participants identify habits they would like to change

Long Term Outcomes

  • Participants use coping strategies to decrease frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation
  • Participants improve communication with family and friends
  • Participants increase activity levels
  • Participants change habits to improve quality of life
