Professional Development: Arts Integration Tools for Teachers
Luther Burbank Center for the Arts’ Professional Development: Arts Integration Tools for Teachers is a locally relevant arts education program for teachers, and is aligned with a nationwide model to enhance professional learning for K-12 teachers that was developed by The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Kennedy Center).
As a nationally recognized professional development resource for teachers, the program aligns with Sonoma County Health Action goal 1.2: Every child exceeds academically, and the corresponding recommendation #4: Enhance Professional Development to Build Effective Teaching Skills. Additional long-term goals include: Improved student feeling of self-efficacy; improved student motivation to learn; and, improved student ability to apply learning to new situations and experiences.
