School Based Mentoring
School Based Mentoring helps children build self-confidence, learn positive behaviors, and avoid potential pitfalls, such as drugs and gangs. Mentor Me Petaluma’s vision is that every young person has the consistent adult support needed to reach his/her highest potential and to thrive in school and in life. Our mission is to provide one-on-one adult mentors to youth who need them and to sustain the mentorships over time in a safe and supportive environment for both mentor and mentee. Mentors encourage their mentees to make healthy life choices and open a window to a wider world; they offer advice and a listening ear, helping their mentees when help is most needed.
